Buy the Collins Dress and Top sewing pattern from Friday Pattern Company. Collins is a quick and satisfying sew with options galore! Sew it up as a top, short dress, or tea length dress. The pattern includes two cup size options (B/C and C/D), as well as low or high (bra friendly) back options. Collins is designed for knit fabrics and has an integrated shelf bra. It is form fitting without being too tight. The dress hemline features a slight A-line sweep. This is a pattern you’ll want to sew again and again!

Suggested fabrics: Collins is designed for knit fabrics. You will need a fabric with at least 25% crosswise stretch. It looks great in jerseys, rib knits, ponte knits, scuba, and more! If you are sewing the dress version, a fabric with a bit of body will hold the shape of the hem nicely.
Fabric requirements: You may need to purchase extra yardage if your fabric has a heavy nap, is directional, striped, or has an obvious repeat.
Long dress: 45" (114 cm) wide fabric: 3 - 4 yd (2.7 - 3.7 m) // 54-60" (137-153 cm) wide fabric: 2 - 3.6 yd (1.8 - 3.3 m).
Short dress: 45" (114 cm) wide fabric: 2.1 - 3.2 yd (1.9 - 2.9 m) // 54-60" (137-153 cm) wide fabric: 1.5 - 2.8 yd (1.3 - 2.5 m).
Top: 45" (114 cm) wide fabric: 1.3 - 2.4 yd (1.1 - 2.1 m) // 54-60" (137-153 cm) wide fabric: 1.3 - 2 yd (1.1 - 1.8 m).
