Jenerates Flex Hemmer
Buy the Flex Hemmer from Jenerates. The original Jenerates Silicone Hemmer is loved by sewists around the world, and now Jen has created a flexible version! The Flex Hemmer can curve in either direction, or even both at the same time, perfect for shirttails.Â
Â
You can use the holes to mark the position of the hemmer with a chalk pencil or iron-off pen. On the metric version, the holes are at 1 cm and 2 cm, and the hemmer is 3 cm wide. On the imperial version, the holes are 1/4" and 5/8" from one side, 3/8" and 3/4" from the other side, and the hemmer is 1" wide. Pinning through the holes will keep the hemmer in place while you press.Â
Â
The Flex Hemmer is designed to be both functional and strong. It is heat resistant up to 230°C, won’t buckle under steam, and stays cool to the touch. It’s firm enough to give you a solid edge to press against, but not so thick that it creates a step in the fabric. You can also use the Flex Hemmer on straight edges. Just add a little tension when pinning to inhibit the curve.
Made in Scotland from silicone.
Choose between metric and imperial measurements.
Overall dimensions: Metric: 300 mm x 30 mm // Imperial: 11.8" x 1".
